Vancouver-based Q-Media has purchased the North American CD replicating and fulfillment facilities of Quebecor World Inc. for $63 million. The sale price is comprised of US$42 million of cash, US$21 million in other consideration ultimately convertible into Q-Media shares.
Quebecor World is a large commercial print media services company. Its North American facilities are in Fife, WA, and Westborough, MA.
The company’s European CD replication facilities were divested in a private transaction in May. Terms of that sale were not disclosed.
