OfficeMax, Inc., Cleveland, will begin offering online learning and educational resources to small and mid-sized businesses through its Web site, http://www.officemax.com. OfficeMax’s core customer base is made up of firms with fewer than 100 employees.
The training programs offered will be coordinated through Arthur Andersen Virtual Learning Network, an Atlanta-based firm that provides courses in finance and accounting; IT skills for professionals and end users; management, supervisory and employee development; and sales and marketing.
The decision to incorporate courses into the company’s site was made after an online survey revealed that the services most desired by OfficeMax’s customers were online training programs.
