Ontario, Canada, has acquired iPromotions, Inc., a provider of online advertising and data acquisition products. Founded in 1997, iPromotions specializes in online consumer acquisition campaigns using promotional methods and technologies including sweeps, scratch and win games, sales lead generation, online media tracking and viral marketing. Digital Connexxions is a provider of e-mail and data services for publishers, list managers and direct marketers.

MONO: opens in Minneapolis under a trio of Minneapolis ad veterans with Sesame Workshop as its first client. Michael Hart and Chris Lange, group creative directors at Fallon Worldwide, and former Carmichael Lynch executive Jim Scott opened the branding and ad agency Jan. 8 with plans to serve a small number of clients via freelance teams.
