BELL SPORTS AND TONY HAWK: have reached an endorsement deal. The skateboarding champion will wear the Bell Faction helmet in 2004 and is working with Bell to design a signature line for 2005. Financial terms were not disclosed.

AVON PRODUCTS, INC.: has hired Elizabeth Smith as executive VP and brand president. She had been with Kraft Foods Inc. as president U.S. Beverages and Grocery Sectors.

ALLIED DOMECQ: plans to expand the roll out of Stolichnaya elit vodka, which sells for $60 bottle. The drink has been testing in California and will become available next month at bars and restaurants in New York, Boston, MA, Chicago, Las Vegas, NV, Miami, FL, and Philadelphia, PA.

THE DEW ACTION SPORTS TOUR: has selected Louisville, KY, Denver, CO, Portland, OR, San Jose, CA and Orlando, FL; as the five host sites for its inaugural season, beginning in June 2005. The five sites were selected from more than 20 throughout the U.S. through a competitive bidding process. The tour is owned by NBC Sports and Clear Channel Entertainment—Motor Sports.

PLAYERS, INC: has promoted Pam Adolph to VP-apparel and operations, where she oversees all aspects of the licensed apparel category including marketing and contract negotiations, as well as the company wide operational procedures on a daily basis.

SPEEDO: has extended its partnership with USA Swimming Team through 2012. The eight-year extension, which follows a series of quadrennial renewals, will enable the two organizations to maximize the sport’s long-term marketing efforts following a surge in popularity resulting from this summer’s Athens Olympics, highlighted by the performance of Team Speedo’s Michael Phelps.
