Rapp Collins Worldwide, New York, named Malcolm Speed as chairman and chief executive officer. Speed, who had been executive vice president and partner at Bronner Slosberg, Humphrey in Boston, will assume his new position on May 3.
Known as an expert in customer relationship management, Speed sees his work at Rapp Collins to be driven by the clients’ requirements. For him, that means developing marketing solutions to meet those requirements. “How the client drives its brand to customer loyalty is the challenge,” he said.
“Most clients talk about customer management,” Speed noted. “But very few are doing it in what may be considered a robust manner. It’s driving customer management value across all communications channels, the traditional phone and mail as well as the Internet.”
Such an effort requires a tremendous amount of integration, he concluded.
Speed is replacing G. Steven Dapper, who left Rapp Collins at the end of last year to form Hawkeye Communications in New York.
Rapp Collins is part of Omnicom Group’s Diversified Agency Services. Billings exceed $1.78 billion.
