Henry Schein Inc. reported $24.8 million in net income during first quarter, up from $19.7 million a year ago. The dental supply direct marketer’s sales rose to $738 million from $647.1 million during the same period. The quarter ended March 29.
“Enrollment of dental practices in our Privileges customer-loyalty program continues to rise, and at the end of the first quarter more than 12,000 dental customers were participating in this innovative program,” said CEO Stanley M. Bergman in a statement.
“Results continue to indicate that these customers are increasing their business with us at a rate significantly above our average customer.”
