Chicago-based Coolsavings.com has laid off 47 people as part of a plan to break even by the end of the year. The layoffs follow the previously announced measures to reduce operating expenses.
On Tuesday, the promotional incentives company announced that it received about $15 million in financing, which along with the cost cutting, are expected to sustain the company.
The layoffs represent 26% of the company’s staff.
