Talbots Hires Benedetta Casamento For Finance Position
The Talbots, Inc. has named Benedetta Casamento executive VP of Finance. In this newly created position, she will report directly to Talbots Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Michael Scarpa. The appointment is effective immediately.
Casamento joins Talbots after spending nine years at Liz Claiborne, Inc. in various leadership positions. Most recently, she was president of Liz Claiborne, Claiborne and Monet brands where she was responsible for all aspects of brand management worldwide and implemented several key turnaround strategies including organizational restructuring and cost reduction programs to strengthen and revitalize the business.
She had previously served as president of the Ellen Tracy and Dana Buchman brands at Liz Claiborne. She joined Liz in 1999 as VP and group financial director of its retail and international group, and became VP of financial planning and analysis in 2000.
Casamento started her career at Saks Fifth Avenue where she held roles of increasing responsibility in accounting and finance, including controller of OFF 5th, Saks Fifth Avenue Outlet and the Folio catalog division.
