Between 120 and 200 employees have gone back to work at Fingerhut’s distribution center in St. Cloud, MN, the Minneapolis Star Tribune reported.
The Union of Needletrades, Industrial and Textile Employees (UNITE), that had represented workers at Fingerhut’s previous incarnation, will represent them again.
UNITE has begun contract negotiations with the Minnetonka, MN-based Fingerhut catalog.
The catalog and other assets, including the St. Cloud facility, were purchased by Fingerhut’s former CEO Ted Deikel and his partner, Eden Prairie, MN, entrepreneur Tom Petters last summer.
The first catalog under the new ownership went out in early November.
When Federated Department Stores Inc. put Fingerhut up for sale in January, there were 2,600 employees working in St. Cloud, according to the newspaper.
