Promo’s Salary Survey 2001

The typical corporate marketing executive is male, aged 41, holds a bachelor’s degree, and has worked in the field for almost 14 years and at the same company for nine. He also was compensated fairly well last year, receiving a 7.3-percent salary increase and a bonus of better than $17,000.

Those statistics would suggest a group of executives relatively content with their careers and positive about their futures, wouldn’t it? Not exactly — at least not this year.
