BORDERS GROUP: Ann Arbor, MI, named Michael Tam as senior VP-marketing for its 1,200 Borders and Waldenbooks stores worldwide. Tam had been executive VP-chief marketing officer for American Eagle Outfitters.

TAFFY ENTERTAINMENT: has launched a licensing division and has hired Eric Stein as VP-Licensing. Stein is a former licensing executive with Lucasfilm and MGM/United Artists and the founder of consulting firm Eric Stein Entertainment. Taffy is the new business unit of Mike Young Productions.

RAPP COLLINS WORLDWIDE: New York City, hired Cindy Davis as managing director of its Dallas office. She had been VP-brand marketing for Pizza Hut.

FOOD LION: Salisbury, NC, will offer e-mailed coupons to its loyalty cardholders. The grocer joins Brand Coupon Network, which sends printable coupons via weekly e-mails. Similar programs are in test for other retailers via Metairie, LA-based Brand Coupon Network.

LIME PUBLIC RELATIONS + PROMOTION: New York City, has added an outpost in San Francisco in the office of its parent, ad agency Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners. Kirshenbaum veteran Laura Leinweber, VP-communications director, moves to San Francisco to oversee LIME’s business there and pursue strategic alliances for LIME clients.
