Kodak Takes Its Wares on the Road

Kodak is on the road with a tour that showcases its products and encourages consumers to become shutterbugs.

The Inspiration Tour kicks off this week at the Taste of Minnesota in Minneapolis where three display areas let visitors touch and use Kodak’s newest cameras, printers, digital frames and other products.

In one area, people can have their photos taken using a Kodak EasyShare digital camera in life-like settings such as standing alongside a Disney character in Cinderella’s Castle or driving the No. 12 Kodak Dodge in a NASCAR race.

A second area shows Kodak’s latest options in printing and digital framing technology. And a third display lets visitors learn how to design and produce photo-centric gifts like calendars, cards, mugs, collages and photo books at home at a retail kiosk or online at the Kodak gallery.

The tour will make 14 stops in 12 cities including the NASCAR Chicagoland Speedway in Joliet, IL, the Delaware State Fair in Harrington, DE, the Ohio State Fair in Columbus, OH, the Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta in Albuquerque, NM and the Tournament of Roses Post Parade in Pasadena, CA.

Kodak is marketing the tour through print ads, its Web site and an “influencer” email list it is building. Events in Motion is handling the tour.
