Hostess Pushes Holiday DVD Rebate on 2 Million Packages
Hostess is once again out with a rebate offer to help drive sales of Classic Media’s holiday movies.
The company is offering a $4 rebate off the purchase of animated holiday DVDs, including “Santa Claus Is Comin’ to Town,” “Frosty the Snowman” and “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”
More than 2 million packages of Hostess Twinkies, Cup Cakes and HoHoHos are carrying the offer, Barbara Clements, consumer promotions and licensing manager for Hostess, said. Each package features an image of a holiday DVD and messaging about the offer.
In a similar partnership last year, Hostess offered a $3 mail-in-rebate toward the purchase of one of the DVDs.
The on-pack promotion runs through Jan. 25. Hostess is supporting the campaign via P-O-P and in-store displays, as well as in circular ads. Norm Marshall & Associates is handling the promotion.
