Google Acquires Applied Semantics

Google, the Mountain View, CA-based search engine company, has acquired one of its suppliers: Applied Semantics. The financial terms were not disclosed.

Based in Santa Monica, CA, Applied Semantics produces software that matches online ads with content on a Web site. It reportedly has around 40 employees.
