Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Dunkin’ Donuts is hosting an iced coffee giveaway today while pitching a new flavor in its line-up.

People who visit participating locations from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. will receive a free 16-ounce original or flavored iced coffee as part of the chain’s Iced Coffee Day giveaway. Dunkin’ Donuts is also using the opportunity to promote its new drink, Berry Berry Iced Coffee, which features the tastes of blueberry and raspberry with its coffee.

The chain expects to serve nearly 4 million cups of iced coffee to customers nationwide. The effort marks the second year the company has offered the promotion.

Dunkin’ Donuts is donating $80,000 to the National Police Athletic League’s Youth Leadership Program, a nonprofit organization that works with disadvantaged youth across the U.S. to emphasize the importance of community service and peer leadership.

TV spots, e-mail blasts, print ads and online marketing support the promotion.
