DoubleClick’s Second Quarter Revenue Skyrockets

Internet advertising firm DoubleClick, New York, saw its net loss shrink from $4.3 million in second quarter 1999 to $3.8 million. During the same time period, the company’s revenue grew from $49.9 million to $128.1 million. The quarter ended June 30.

The company’s TechSolutions division, which encompasses its online advertising offerings, had revenue of $48.7 million, up from $14.6 million in second quarter 1999. International systems revenue rose 328%, to $40.4 million.

Its Data Services division, which includes the Abacus alliance, had second quarter revenue of $15.8 million, a 20% increase from second quarter 1999. According to the company the database totals 1,711 members.

The company’s media department had second quarter revenue of $69 million, up 193% from last year.
