Delta Launches SkyMilesShopping.com for the Holidays

Delta announced this week the launch of an online shopping mall enabling SkyMiles members to earn miles for purchases at more than 100 brand-named stores through SkyMilesShopping.com. The site features a variety of online retailers including BOSE, Eddie Bauer, gap.com, L.L. Bean, sharperimage.com, Target and many others in a variety of shopping categories. The Delta SkyMiles program is the third largest airline loyalty program in the U.S. with more than 35 million members.

SkyMiles program members may register at www.SkyMilesShopping.com and begin shopping through the Web site immediately. Members automatically earn miles with purchases at participating merchants while shopping online and can earn up to 10 miles per $1 spent. Each retail partner offers a different milage-earning opportunity, with an average of four miles per $1 spent.

To celebrate the launch of the SkyMiles online mall, American Express Delta SkyMiles Credit Card members can earn 1,000 bonus miles when using the Card for their first purchase on the site from Jan. 1 through Feb. 28, 2004.
