BV Takes its Wine, and Grapes, on the Road

Lucy and Ethel may not be on hand to help out with this event, but visitors to the Beaulieu Vineyard grape stomping tour for charity will get a chance to crush some grapes and win some great prizes.

The Napa Valley vintner—armed with a $500,000 budget—plans to take its winery on the road beginning May 27 in a big, red BV branded tour bus stopping in 25 states. Along the way, as an official sponsor of the Las Vegas Centennial, the tour will meet up with the Road to Vegas Tour, as the concert series tours through 10 cities with rock group, Collective Soul. BV’s road trip ends July 2 with a grand finale during the Las Vegas 100th Birthday Bash.

At each stop, BV will offer noon-time grape stomping—with six-person teams—sponsored and promoted by local radio stations to benefit a local charity. Las Vegas Mayor Oscar B. Goodman will be on hand at four stomps. Charity donations will be made based on the volume of juice produced from the stomps and from purchases of tasting tickets that will sell for $5 or $7. Participants in each city can register to stomp and will be automatically entered to win a sweepstakes dangling a trip to Las Vegas presented by the charity. Prizes include trips to Las Vegas’s 100th Birthday Bash, Collective Soul concert tickets, wine tasting and interactive wine education games. Spin the bottle, aroma smelling games, coupon handouts and other events will take place in each city.

A supporting sweepstakes at BvinVegas.com also offers the chance to win a vacation for two to Las Vegas for the Birthday Bash. The prize includes airfare, overnight accommodations at a hotel on the Las Vegas strip, two show tickets, two tickets to the Birthday Bash Red Hot Chili Peppers concert, breakfast room-service vouchers and an in-room amenity and welcome package from BV.

The tour kicks off San Francisco and plans to stop in such cities as Los Angeles, Phoenix, Houston, TX, Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Washington, DC, Philadelphia, New York, Chicago and Atlanta.
