Bank of America Debuts NASCAR Checking

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Bank of America has introduced NASCAR Checking, a bundled set of products that include check cards, checks and credit cards all tied to a rewards program.

The check cards and credit cards can be used to earn RacePoints redeemable for NASCAR merchandise, prizes and unique experiences, such as serving as an honorary crewmember for a day.

NASCAR driver Kasey Kahne unveiled the launch with an oversized version of the NASCAR banking product set with his likeness and No. 9 Dodge during an event last week in Charlotte, NC. Others whose likenesses will be included on the products are the late Dale Earnhardt, his son, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Martin Truex Jr.

In addition to NASCAR, the bank is debuting affinity checking products for more than 20 organizations, including Habitat for Humanity International, Defenders of Wildlife and Ducks Unlimted. For each customer sign up, Bank of America will make a donation to that group.

The NASCAR product is an expansion of the bank’s affinity platform that includes the launch of new sport, cause-related, professional and special interest checking products.
