1) image and link: this style certainly grabs a user’s attention, but sometimes the image can make people blind to the link

2) thumbnail: Facebook will automatically generate a box with text and a thumbnail image when you paste a link into your status update

3) thumbnail and link: this one isn’t ideal, since the link is essentially appearing twice
