Yahoo! Top Search Engine In Terms of Downtime
Google may have a stranglehold on the search market, but they can’t take anything away from Yahoo! when it comes to downtime in 2007.
Uptime monitoring company Pingdom recently released its interesting list of the downtimes for the top 20 most popular Web sites according to Alexa. Yahoo! is at the top of the list since it is the most popular Web property, but it is also tops in terms of downtime. So far in 2007, the second fiddle in search has had 0 minutes of downtime.
Google had 7 minutes of downtime when the findings were put on a blog posting on April 2, but experienced another 3 minutes of downtime on (ironically) April 2.
Blogger and YouTube, both Google properties, had the most downtime by far. Blogger had 4 hours and 47 minutes of downtime when the blog posting was made, and has since experienced another 17 minutes of downtime.
YouTube, on the other hand, had experienced 4 hours and 44 minutes of downtime when the post was made, and has since experienced another 26 minutes of downtime.
