Wish-Bone Serves Up Fashion Show Again

Wish-Bone brings new meaning to salad “dressing.”

The brand is bringing back its unusual recipe contest for a second year, sending winners to a fashion show where the models wear the winning recipes’ ingredients.

The contest, called “What’s Your Salad Style?” asks consumers to submit their recipes for salad using Wish-Bone Salad Spritzers dressing. Two winners get a trip to New York City to see the Wish-Bone Summer Salad Fashion Show on May 17. The two winning recipes will be featured as fashions during the show; the outfits will appear in a Wish-Bone ad in People magazine’s “Best Dressed” issue in September.

This year, parent Unilever uses the contest to promote four new Salad Spritzers flavors: Caesar Delight, French Flair, Raspberry Bliss and Asian Silk. The vinaigrette dressings come in a spray bottle so they can be spritzed onto salads in small amounts.

Recipes will be judged on three criteria: creativity, originality of ingredients and suitability to inspire a fashion design. The contest runs through April 9 at Wish-Bone.com. The top winners also get a $500 shopping spree during their three-day trip to New York.
