Whitman Exits CEO Role at EBay

Meg Whitman is stepping down as president/CEO of EBay, effective March 31.

John Donahoe, current head of EBay Marketplaces will replace her.

This announcement came as the San Jose, CA firm posted net income of $530.9 million for the fourth quarter, a 53% surge over $346.5 million in the prior year,

The online marketplace reported revenue of $2.18 billion for the quarter ended Dec. 31, a 27% gain over $1.71 billion last year.

She will remain on EBay’s board of directors.
