Wendy’s Promotes New Frosty with Instant-Win Game

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Wendy’s is teaming up with Nintendo in an instant-win game to promote the launch of its new Vanilla Frosty Float.

Customers who buy a float will receive a code on their cup. Codes can be entered at FrostyFloat.com for a chance to win one of 800 Wii gaming systems, games or points cards, which can be redeemed for classic games from the Wii Shop Channel.

The beverage is a new take on Wendy’s classic Vanilla Frosty, a cross between a milk shake and ice cream. The new drink adds soft drinks, such as Coca-Cola or Barq’s Root Beer, and sells for $1.99.

“Both Nintendo and Wendy’s know the value of offering customers new ways to bring the family together,” said George Harrison, Nintendo of America’s senior vice president of marketing and corporate communications, in a statement. “This is an important partnership for us.”

In-store signage and TV spots support the Frosty promotion, which runs through June 30. The instant-win game ends July 31.
