Web Site Coaches the Little Guys

Sometimes, would-be business tycoons might need a little coaching to make the most of their hidden potential. At least, that’s what Pam Thomas is banking on.

Through her year-old Web site Whatswithinu.com, Thomas offers personal coaching to business people.

“We all have amazing assets and attributes, but sometimes we run into obstacles that impede our ability to excel forward,” says Thomas, who holds a masters degree in industrial/organizational psychology. “It has always been my passion to help others get from where they are to where they wish to be in their lives, removing obstacles and knocking down walls in the process.”

Thomas offers individual classes at $295 apiece, which entitle participants to three 45-minute sessions. She also offers group classes at slightly higher rates.

She stresses that coaching is not therapy or consulting, despite apparent similarities. Rather, it’s a collaborative process that helps people overcome obstacles and accomplish goals during which the coach asks tough questions and holds users fully accountable for their actions.

Right now, Thomas, a former youth AIDS prevention counselor, has 12 clients who are mostly small entrepreneurs although she says she has worked with some larger companies.

She publicizes whatswithinu.com through word of mouth and through article submissions to such Web sites as Goarticles.com and Ezinenetwork.com.

More recently, Thomas started up a blog http//:www.makethemostofu.com, which also helps spread the word about her Cave Creek, AZ-based practice. The blog gets 10,000 hits a month.

One thing the blog features is an opportunity for users to submit their own tips on maintaining a proper level of energy to maximize potential. For example, at deadline the blog offered pointers on keeping up one’s energy level when people feel dark and gloomy.

They include stopping in the moment and saying at least three things you are really grateful for; playing some uplifting music and singing along and taking some deep cleansing breaths.
