WE Plugs Bridal Block via 44 Million Valpak Mailings

Women’s network WE tv is building excitement around its new bridal programming block on 44 million Valpak envelopes with a sweepstakes offer for a chance to win a luxury trip to the Dominican Republic.

This month, direct mailer Valpak has branded its iconic blue envelopes with WE tv programming and the Caribbean vacation sweepstakes. The promotion is designed to raise awareness of the network’s new season of “Bridezilla” and WE Go Bridal” on Sundays starting June 17 at 9 p.m. ET.

The WE Go Bridal Sweepstakes offers a five-day trip for two to a resort in the Dominican Republic with spa treatments or $5,000. Entry forms are available in the coupon mailer or at Wetv.com or Valpak.com.

The sweepstakes runs through July 6. Banners ads support the promotion. For its part, WE tv is promoting the Valpak partnership online and in more than 200 TV spots, during its “Bridezillas,” “Platinum Weddings,” “What’s Cooking” and “Take This House” shows.

“For Valpak, the primary consumer is women,” said Deanna Willsey, Valpak spokesperson. “It’s a great way to reach our audience.”

The campaign is the first between Valpak and WE tv.

Visitors to Valpak.com can also play an online game, called “Whack-A-Worry, in which players help a bride eliminate all of her worries with a click of a mouse.

Valpak handles the sweepstakes internally.
