Vente Releases File on Smokers

Vente, Inc., a compiler of self-reported data, has released the Smoker Responders file, which it says contains the most-comprehensive database of self-reported tobacco users. The data was compiled from online surveys, direct response e-mail marketing and consumers visiting Vente web sites.

“Our data is age verified, which provides the tobacco marketer a 100% legal list of consumers who wish to receive tobacco product offers,” said Barney Marvin, wholesale director for Omaha-based Vente, in a statement. “There is no ‘collateral damage,’ that is to say, unintentional marketing to children by direct marketing to this select group of individuals.”

Smoker Responders is the most valuable source tobacco marketers can turn to in an era of extremely stringent tobacco laws, Marvin said.

Vente’s Smoker Responders includes verified birth dates, accurate telephone numbers, email addresses and CASS certified postal addresses, according to the company. It provides updated records of frequency and type of tobacco used (cigarette, cigar, pipe, smokeless), brand of cigarette, length of cigarette, taste preference, and smoker location by state or region.
