ValueVision Reports Record Revenues and Reduces Losses

ValueVision Media Inc. reported double-digit sales growth in the third quarter. Revenues for the quarter hit a record $184.9 million, an increase of 16% compared to the same period last year.

The company reported that it reduced its net loss in the third quarter to $3.1 million, down from a net loss of $7.1 million in the third quarter of 2005.

Sales per household increased 10% in the third quarter and 9% year-to-date. It achieved an average $225 price point in the most recent third quarter, up from $208 for same quarter last year.

ValueVision sells consumer products through direct mail, direct response television and Web sites. Sales generated per minute increased in all major product categories.
