U.S. Email Compliance Leaders to Address European Union Agency Workshop on Threats to Global Email Reputation Systems

Posted on

Paris, France (PRWEB) June 13, 2007 — LashBack, LLC., the Email Compliance Authority, having accepted an invitation by ENISA, the European Network and Information Security Agency, an official agency of the European Union, today addressed the European e-Identity Conference co-organized by ENISA and EEMA, the European Association for E-Identity and Security on threats to global email reputation systems.

The significance is the growing need for the United States and the European Union as well as all global markets to work together toward a global system capable of stopping the spam problem and empowering consumers and marketers equitably. Collaborative Compliance from LashBack finally makes this possible. A copy of all the presentations can be found in the link on the left resource box.

"We are honored by the invitation of the European Union’s ENISA to speak," stated W. Brandon Phillips, CEO, LashBack, LLC and co-presenter. "Global compliance for email marketers is the future of the industry- just as we enforce the CAN-SPAM Act in the United States today. Email delivery is relying more and more heavily on the reputation of email marketers and their sending partner’s ability to consistently enforce compliance."

"LashBack’s safe unsubscribe technology for consumers, ISPs and receivers and our email compliance technology and services for email marketers are the backbone of a reputation system that is working collaboratively with many other technologies to deliver only compliant email," stated Eric Castelli, CTO LashBack and co-presenter. "Today’s presentation is a major step forward for increasing the understanding of differing European and U.S. systems for email reputation and compliance."

Email Marketers develop a "reputation" that is like a credit score. ISPs and Receivers use this data to make delivery decisions based on an email marketer performance. The challenge today is building one clear cut system that is flexible enough to work globally yet effective enough to solve the spam problem. Consumer complaints, bounce rates, unsubscribe performance, hitting spam traps as well as the age of Sending IPs contribute to overall reputation score. Compliance and Reputation combined with increased adoption of Authentication, which allow systems to know who is sending, are increasing the value of email for consumers and advertisers.
