Twitter Unveils Photo Filters, Sets up All-out Photo War With Instagram

Twitter birdToday Twitter has officially introduced its own stable of photo filters, which officially kicks off whatever photo war exists between it and Instagram. Users of Twitter’s mobile app for iPhone and Android will be able to edit and refine their photos right from the app. Twitter credits its partner Aviary for powering the filters and effects. This fulfills expectations set by a report by The New York Times back in early November.

Here’s a rundown of the features: filters; a bird’s-eye view that allows users to see how each filter would affect a photo in a single grid view or by swiping through filters to compare; crop and pinch; and auto-enhance.
