Technology Monitors Eye Movements on Web Sites

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Oneupweb has introduced an eye tracking service for analyzing the physiological movements of the human eye and psychological implications for marketing when Web pages are viewed.

The technology can be used for making adjustments in Web site design, usability and other online features of home pages and click-through landing pages. Data for analysis can be broken down into clusters and eye gazes to examine such variables as placement, size, text, font, color and other Web page elements.

“It allows us to look at Web site through the eyes of a typical visitor to see what’s attracting them and what they’re ignoring,” said in a statement Lisa Wehr, CEO of Oneupweb, based in Traverse City, MI.
