Susan Gray, the executive VP of the Incentive Gift Certificate Council, will be appointed president at the groups membership meeting to be held Sept. 27 at the start of the Motivation Show in Chicago.
Gray, works as the director of merchant operations for the Gift Certificate Center, a Hallmark Co.
She said the first steps will be to get the strategic planning committee up and running to help set both short term as well as long term goals for the council. One key initiative already underway for 2005 is to redesign the council’s Web site to provide added value to members.
Gray will replace Sherry Blabolil-Das who has been a board member for four years. Blabolil-Das will continue on as part of the strategic planning committee.
Other open board positions include the director of media relations, executive VP and secretary. Nominations for those positions will be taken at the membership meeting.
