Sprint Pushes Perks and Instant Rewards

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Sprint is launching a new service status to offer paybacks for long-term customer loyalty.

The program, Sprint Premier, is being offered to customers who have had Sprint wireless service for at least 10 years.

Sprint customers can earn early upgrades on new handsets at new customer prices after one year. (A new two-year agreement is required to activate this benefit.) On each anniversary of continued service, customers also earn a free ringtone or additional free minutes, and can get a yearly discount on handset accessories at Sprint stores.

“Just Because” perks are being offered in the form of special offers for trips, tickets and sporting events as a way of thanking customers for their support. Long-term customers also receive a ‘First to Know/First to Buy” benefit, a special preview and first shot to sign up for new products and services, such as the upcoming Palm Pre model.

“We know that loyal customers are the most important ones to our business and we want to reward them for their choice in Sprint,” said Jeff Hallock, vice president for base management at Sprint, in a statement.

In addition to their 10-year tenure, customers must also have maintained Sprint service for three months at a minimum level of $69.99 for individual service or $99.99 for accounts with shared minutes.

Complete rules on eligibility are available at sprint.com/premiercustomer.
