Sprint Gears Up NASCAR Tix Giveaway

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Sprint is running a major customer appreciation campaign, offering more than 30,000 free tickets to NASCAR events around a Sprint-sponsored race on May 15-17.

The mobile carrier is offering customers 20,000 free tickets to the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race itself on May 17 at the Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, N.C. It’s also offering 10,500 tickets to the Sprint Pit Crew Challenge event, including Q&A sessions with NASCAR drivers, on May 15.

Sprint customers can register for the tickets on a first-come, first-served basis by creating an account at Sprint.com via MySprint. Registration runs through April 30, or when all tickets are taken.

“We have a lot of NASCAR assets and we wanted to share them with our customers,” said Sprint spokeswoman Kimberly Meesters.

She said tickets were going fast in the giveaway that started last week. Some 1,000 tickets for lunch and a chartered bus tour of Hendrick Motorsports, Michael Waltrip Racing and Joe Gibbs Racing in Charlotte on May 16 are already gone. So are tickets for pit tours preceding the race and spots for Sprint customers to have a front row view of driver introductions at the race track.

Dubbed the “Sprint All-Star Customer Celebration,” the events in Charlotte will be followed shortly by other special NASCAR event offers for its customers during the current season, Meesters said.
