Source Marketing Names Derek Correia President

An executive from Grey Direct, Derek Correia, has joined Source Marketing, Inc., as president. The position takes effect immediately.

Correia, 36, succeeds Howard Steinberg, who founded Source in 1989. Steinberg has assumed the position of CEO and chairman for Source Marketing Cos., which encompasses both Source Marketing and LifeMed Marketing, a new direct-to-consumer healthcare marketing company he formed in 2003. Steinberg plans to focus his efforts on LifeMed Marketing and dLife, the new TV show and multimedia network of LifeMed Marketing, targeted to people with diabetes and those who care for them.

Correia had been executive VP-director of marketing at Grey Direct in New York City. He oversaw account service and strategy while managing accounts in financial services, healthcare, pharmaceuticals and packaged goods. Other prior posts include CMO for BriteSmile, Inc., senior VP at Renaissance Cruises, Inc., VP-brand marketing at Burger King Corp. and director, product innovation at Pizza Hut, Inc.

Source Marketing is a full-service marketing agency based in Westport, CT. Its roster of clients includes American Online, Beiersdorf, Castrol, Discovery Channel, Mattel, Reckitt-Benkiser, Skyy Vodka and Time Warner Cable.

The agency ranked 47th in the 2004 PROMO 100 with $9.6 million in 2003 revenue.
