Six Flags, Sara Lee Form Marketing Pact

Six Flags, Inc. has kicked off a marketing partnership with Sara Lee to make Ball Park franks the official hot dog and a corporate partner of the theme park.

Under the multi-year sponsorship, Sara Lee’s Ball Park hot dogs will be available in all U.S. Six Flags parks. The deal also includes joint initiatives, including sponsorship of Spring Break events in nine parks, Six Flags offers and on-pack sweepstakes featured on Sara Lee retail products.

The partnership kicks off this spring. It’s the first time Ball Park hot dogs will be offered at Six Flags parks, the company said.

“At Sara Lee, we want to be where our consumers are,” said Steve Clapp, vice president, Ball Park brand, in a statement. “With its millions of visitors every year, Six Flags provides us with a great opportunity to make our products even more readily available to consumers across the country.”

The deal includes Sara Lee Food & Beverage and Sara Lee Foodservice.
