Oodle Hires Sales Exec
Local classified search engine Oodle has hired former Knight Ridder publishing executive Lem Lloyd as vice president of sales and development. Lloyd, who oversaw print and online classified business for K-R’s 31 newspapers and Web sites as well as partnerships with sites such as Cars.com and Apartments.com, will be responsible for forging partnerships and distribution deals that grow traffic and usage to Oodle’s classified listings.
New Web Catalog for Williams-Sonoma
Williams-Sonoma is set to launch an online catalog for its Williams-Sonoma Home brand today. The virtual catalog will feature custom-upholstered furniture, lighting, tableware, bedding and decorative accessories. The Web catalog will include a furniture preview tool and as many as 24 product views for some items.
Restoration Hardware Plans New Brand
Corte Madera CA-based Restoration Hardware will introduce Brocade Home, a new home catalog and e-commerce site in September. The Brocade brand will be led by Lisa Versacio, who helmed Williams-Sonoma’s West Elm brand, now the fastest-growing division of the company.
