Conway, AR-based Acxiom Corp. reported net earnings of $21.3 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30, up from a net loss of $60.5 million for the same period last year. Revenue for the quarter was $246 million, up 37% from $180 million for the same quarter in 1998. For the six months ended Sept. 30, net earnings were $37 million, up from a loss of $48 million last year; revenue was $458.3 million, a 33% increase over $344.5 million in 1998.
Hello Direct Inc. posted net income of $1 million for the quarter ended Sept. 30, a 57% increase over net income of $664,000, for the same quarter in 1998. The San Jose, CA-based telephone equipment DMer reported net income for the first nine months of 1999 at $2.8 million, compared to $1.8 million during the same period last year. Net sales for the quarter were a record $20.2 million, up 19% over net sales of $17 million in 1998; for the nine months, net sales reached $59 million, a 14% increase over $51.5 million in the same period of the prior year.
