Internet marketing services firm CMGI Inc., based in Andover, MA, has launched the CMGI @Ventures B2B Fund, a new venture fund to concentrate on business-to-business Internet venture capital investments. The fund is expected to reach up to $1 billion in capital.

Dick Cabela, chairman, and Jim Cabela, president of Cabela’s Inc., have been named 1999 National Ernst & Young Entrepreneurs of the Year in the Retail/Consumer Products category. Dick Cabela and his wife, Mary, accepted the award Nov. 13 in Palm Springs, CA, during the 13th annual conference recognizing business leaders for the 21st century.

MyPoints.com, San Francisco, a provider of Internet direct marketing, loyalty and incentive products, has appointed Eugene A. Pierce as senior vice president of technology and development. Pierce had been chief technology officer of LEXIS-NEXIS Group, a unit of Reed Elsevier.
