The Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO) published the names of its elected officers for 2007 on Friday.
Gordon Hotchkiss, president and CEO of Enquiro Search Solutions, will take a second consecutive one-year term at the helm as chairman of the group, while Jeffrey Pruitt, executive president of iCrossing, will take over as president. Dave Williams, chief strategist and co-founder of search marketing firm 360i, will serve as vice-president.
“The search engine marketing industry is evolving and growing, and through our three SEMPO pillars — research, education and global expansion — we will create new initiatives to support this dynamically changing industry,” said Pruitt in a release.
The group expects to build the subscription audience for its SEMPO Institute online distance-learning courses and a research project to examine online consumer behavior.
