SecretMessage.com: A Great Site for Insensitive Cowards

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Got a co-worker with bad breath? An abusive boss? Afraid to tell her?

Go to SecretMessage.com and send an anonymous e-mail. The site invites visitors to select up to four offensive traits by using drop-down menus in 17 categories, such as appearance and hygiene.

So, for example, just by ticking four boxes, you could tell someone anonymously he is inconsiderate, lacks values, picks his nose and is boring in bed.

The resulting e-mail offers no way to identify the sender, and contains links to Web sites offering solutions to the problem[s].

“Our aim is to make the recipient focus on the message, rather than the messenger, and to allow any relationship to remain intact,” says copy on the site. “Messages should be aimed at refining people and ultimately creating better relationships and a better world.”

Uh, yes. Cowardly anonymous messages pointing out someone’s flaws and offering no way to respond would be quite refining, now wouldn’t they?

On second thought, there are some people worth harassing. Anyone know the e-mail addresses of Utah’s state legislators?
