Secret Dancer Search Lets Winner Star in Music Video

Procter & Gamble’s Secret brand is on the hunt for young women with the best dance moves.

The nationwide search kicked off yesterday as part of “Secret’s Show Us Your Moves” contest, which will award the dancer who shows unique confidence and the best moves with the chance to appear in an upcoming music video with Jennifer Lopez.

Secret is stopping in six cities to host casting calls for the promotion. The first 200 women who attended yesterday’s New York casting call received an audition. Following the event, Lopez gave a free performance for attendees.

Other stops include Dallas, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago and Las Vegas, NV.

Online, fans can submit 30-second video auditions to BecauseYoureHot.com through Sept. 28. Entries must include one of Lopez’s songs” “If You Had My Love,” “play,” “Waiting for Tonight,” “Jenny From the Block” and” Get Right and Do It,” which hits Aug. 28.

A panel of judges will choose 10 finalists (six from the casting alls and four from video submissions) based on precision/timing, appropriateness of outfit and stage presence. Viewers can vote on their favorite from Oct. 22 to Nov. 2 online.

One grand-prize winner will appear in an upcoming Lopez music video; nine runners-up will receive a gift basket with Secret deodorants and body sprays. The winner will be announced Nov. 16.

The contest is part of Secret’s new Because You’re Hot campaign, which celebrates different definitions of what makes a woman “hot,” such as confidence, femininity and strength. Leo Burnett Chicago created the campaign for Secret.

Online marketing and PR support the campaign.
