Sampling Helps Kick Off Aquafina Alive Debut

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Aquafina is targeting a number of popular film festivals to put samples of its new vitamin-enhanced water beverage into consumers’ hands.

Through Jan. 28, attendees at the Sundance Film Festival, being held in Park City, UT, are receiving samples of Aquafina Alive. The beverage is available in three flavors: Berry Pomegranate, Peach Mango and Orange Lime.

Aquafina also plans sampling at the Tribeca Film Festival to be held in Manhattan and AFI in Dallas: International Film Festival, both held this spring.

TV and radio spots, as well as print ads are also planned to support the launch.

The beverage debuted on store shelves this month and are available in 20-ounce plastic bottles and 16.9-ounce six packs.

Pepsi-Cola North America, the parent of Aquafina Alive, is likely playing off the success of its Acquafina drinking water, which is currently America’s No.1 selling bottled water brand in measured retail channels, the company said. It debuted in 1995.
