RatePoint Takes Aim at Constant Contact, Vertical Response

Customer feedback firm RatePoint is aiming to take business away from Constant Contact and Vertical Response.

At least that’s the conclusion one would be expected to draw when the company’s CEO names the two well-entrenched e-mail service providers for small businesses in a statement in his press release.

In an announcement that went out this morning, the company said it is adding an e-mail marketing tool to its online customer-feedback management service.

“By offering a powerful e-mail marketing capability directly within the RatePoint platform, we’re really rounding out the solution to provide businesses with the ability to quickly build and send customized e-mails to drive their business,” said Neal Creighton, co-founder and CEO, RatePoint, in a statement. “Previously, where businesses may have leveraged separate customer feedback, e-mail marketing, and survey solutions like Constant Contact or Vertical Response, they can now use a single platform to easily collect authentic customer feedback and communicate with customers.”

The e-mail marketing feature offers pre-designed campaign templates and visual editing tools for easy customization, the press release said.
