Quebecor Losses Deepen in Quarter

Posted on by Chief Marketer Staff

Quebecor World Inc. reported a net loss of $21.1 million for the second quarter, compared to a net loss of $6.5 million last year.

In a statement, the printing giant attributed these results to “temporary inefficiencies and volume reductions caused by the retooling, restructuring and press start-up activity as well as market conditions.”

The Montreal firm posted revenue of $1.36 billion for the quarter ended June 30, a decrease from revenue of $1.45 billion in the prior year.
