BURGER KING: has teamed up with 4Kids Entertainment to launch a global Kids Meal premium promotion. Customers who buy a Kids Meal for girls will receive one of six Cabbage Patch Kids mini dolls through February. Each doll features color-streaked hair and comes with fashion clothing decals to create customized outfits. The promotion is supported by TV spots, in-restaurant P-O-P, online advertising and through the BK Newsletter.

KASHI CO.: has joined Recyclebank, an online rewards program that encourages people to recycle by offering them points they can redeem for coupons at http://www.recyclebank.com. The company will offer coupons for a variety of Kashi food four times a year to motivate people to participate in the program. RecycleBank operates in more than 200,000 households and communities across 15 states.

PROMOTIONAL PRODUCTS ASSOCIATION INTERNATIONAL: has added a new member to its lobbying team. Robert G. Drummer, who heads up his own law firm, Drummer & Associates, LLC, will work with John Satagaj, PPAI’s chief Washington lobbyist and legal counsel, to focus on any new federal efforts to limit or prohibit the use of promotional products by the healthcare industry.

CARLSON MARKETING WORLDWIDE: the global loyalty marketing, engagement and events services agency of Carlson, has named Jeff Balagna as president and CEO. He had worked as interim president and CEO for the last eight months. In addition, the firm named Fay Beauchine as president of the engagement and events division and Andy Wright as president of the brand loyalty division. Each had been executive vice president of those business units. They both report to Balagna.
