Pokmon Plays at Wendy’s

Pokémon USA, Inc. and Wendy’s kick off a five-week national kids’ meal program on Monday. Kids can collect five different Pokémon toys, each with a set of exclusive collector cards.

Ads will also feature the characters Latios and Latias from the fifth animated feature film Pokémon Heroes releasing tomorrow from Miramax Films. Packaging, P-O-P displays and TV spots support.

Separately, New York City-based Pokémon and Wendy’s are teaming with the Kid’s WB for the Gotta Get ‘Em All Giveaway. One grand-prize winner scores a $1,000 shopping spree at the Pokémon Center retail store in New York City and 500 runners-up receive Pokémon Trainer Paks, which include Nintendo games.

To enter the sweepstakes, kids must watch Pokémon on the network Monday through Friday to receive a daily clue that they enter at www.KidsWB.com or at a Wendy’s location.

New York City-based 4Kids Entertainment, Inc., the merchandise licensing agent for the Pokémon brand, brokered the agreement. This is the first time the property has teamed with the Dublin, OH-based QSR. Determined Productions, San Francisco, handles the in-store elements for Wendy’s.
