Pizza Hut Offers Pizza Giveaway
Pizza Hut is launching a free giveaway today to promote its new hand-tossed style pizza.
The promotion kicks off at participating Pizza Hut restaurants from 3 to 5 p.m. The giveaway, one free slice per person, is part of the company’s first assignment by Nick Mathis, the recently named Honorary vice president of pizza.
Consumers chose Mathis out of more than 100 candidates who submitted two-minute videos for a chance at the coveted title. Under the promotion, contestants made videos showing their passion for the Pizza Hut pizza (PROMO Xtra, Feb 26, 2007).
Mathis, 24, of Crystal Lake, IL, received nearly 30,000 votes to become the winner. Along with the title, he received $25,000, three months use of the company car and pizza for a year.
