Pets Dress for Halloween in BHG Contest
Better Homes and Gardens is having some Halloween fun offering a contest that lets people dress up their pets for a chance at a new camcorder.
As of yesterday, 153 pet photos had been submitted with (mostly) dogs and some cats dressed as dinosaurs, reindeer, pilgrim and princesses.
People can enter as many as six photos online through Nov. 7.
Two rounds of judging will be held. The first, on Nov. 14, will narrow the field to 20 finalists selected by “qualified judges,” based on the overall appearance of the costume, adherence to the theme and quality of the photo.
The finalists will then be posted at the site where visitors can choose their favorite. A viral component lets visitors pass along the photos and encourage friends to enter the contest.
The grand-prize winner will receive a Flip Video Mino Series Camcorder, a Philips Digital Picture Frame and a $200 Visa gift card. Four runners up get a $75 Visa gift card.
