A new line of milkshakes will hit the market this summer thanks to a licensing deal PepsiCo, Inc. has struck with ice-cream maker Ben & Jerry’s.
The frozen drinks will arrive just in time to cool off consumers via convenience, gas and grocery stores nationwide. The beverages will be wrapped in “proprietary” glass bottles, said PepsiCo spokesperson Michelle Naughton.
Marketing, pricing and the three flavors for the new beverages have not been decided, she said. The flavors will likely be popular Ben & Jerry’s combinations.
The multi-year licensing deal marks the first for Vermont-based Ben & Jerry’s Homemade, Inc., PepsiCo said.
The new beverages will expand Pepsi’s non-carbonated beverage portfolio including its line of milk-based drinks such as Frappuccinos, Starbuck’s Double Shots and Quaker Milk Chillers.
